Solution

Spoiler alert : This page contains the Templarion walkthrough. Some steps may be performed in a different order.

I - Unlock the rod in the base

Rotate the flower at the top of the box to match the symbols Σ, Π, π, ξ with the associated numbers. Then, slide the stems on the base to display the correct numbers. This will unlock the center stem of the base.

II - Recover the first cogwheel

On the back, lift the decoration to release the horizontal piece. Slide the piece to the right to unlock the mechanisms towards the first cogwheel.

III - Retrieve the key

Go back and slide the piece to the left this time. This will release the mechanism on the right, which will allow you to retrieve the key.

IV - Recover the second cogwheel

Now you can unlock the left side. This will allow you, after a few movements, to find the key lock.

V - The enigma of the gears (complete solution below)

1 - The first step is to insert the base rod into the corresponding hole. Thanks to the engravings on the back of the box, you can associate each symbol ‡, †, ≈, Þ with a polygon

2 - Then, you have to find the four hidden shapes and count the small circles around each shape.

3 - Insert the cogwheels, taking care to match the lines correctly

4 - Match the correct symbols ‡, †, ≈, Þ with the correct numbers to reveal a direction

5 - Place the compass rose correctly below the box to show you the right directions.

6 - Correctly orient the top buttons to release the tab at the back. You can now lift the top of the box.
